Spore
Spore was long awaited by the DRM and sometimes dull gameplay came close to stopping it from hitting the top of this week’s charts. Never the less the innovation and thrill of seeing other people’s whacky ideas lets Spore Creep into 1st. |

Sims 2: Apartment Life
Love or hate how EA bring out expansions, you’ve got to give them credit for still being able to make a boat full of money from the Sims 2 Franchise, and it’s not completely without warrant. The latest expansion, Sims 2: Apartment Life adds plenty of new features and brings back magic to the series. It’s a sure fire buy for Fans of the sims series, but we can’t help but feel the sheer amount of expansions is starting to prove how much more the original game could have had. Apartment Life may very well be the last expansion we see for the series with the Sims 3 due out in a little over half a year. |

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
Stalker makes a dramatic comeback in the form of a standalone prequel to the original game. The new game contains roughly 50\50 new\old ratio. With the old areas being redesigned and new graphical effects being added. Also included in Clear Sky is a new AI engine which dramatically improves game play, while also making way for the faction wars feature. Like the original game Clear Sky is a clear cut survival horror. Clear Sky loses some points for the sheer amount of bugs it has. Crashes to desktops are a big problem, even after a Russian Patch. |

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
It's is one of the reasons the PC market is dying! The game is great fun and EA’s decision to release it on the PC in an extremely buggy state is greatly depressing. The core gameplay is pure fun and as far as sequels goes the gameplay is great, but the instability and PC related problems are too much to look over. Let’s hope a patch fixes the problems! Mercenaries 2 contains a ton of weapons, missions and vehicles, each being very varied. |
